Groups360

LEAD UX DESIGNER

Overview

Groups360 needed a modernized website as they expanded to keep up with the increasing online traffic and growth. Due to a lack of clarity on its identity and goals, their branding was faltering. Being the first in their industry to provide instant online group booking of space and rooms, they needed a strategy that would best demonstrate their technology and its usability.

Discover

I was able to compile a solid user list of those who regularly visit the Groups360 website by collaborating with the marketing, sales, and product teams.

1 - Sales sends to help demonstrate
2 - Human Resources sends to tell people about who Groups360 is
3 - Signing in to an already made GroupSync account
4 - A home for demonstration videos

Learn

The vision of who we need to use this website became evident as a result of working with the same teams as in the past and speaking with important stakeholders.

1 - Sales Team to educate new users on GroupSync
2 - Event Planners to learn how GroupSync can benefit them
3 - Hotel Admins seeking instruction on what GroupSync can do for them
4 - New Customers who stumble upon searching for the best ways to create group bookings
5 - New hires looking to understand who, what, and why GroupSync operates

Search

Once you understand how to utilize the program, GroupSync is straightforward. With this new website, we aimed to reduce the time it takes a new user to become efficient with GroupSync. Learning the right keys and the best ways to search can take some time. Thus, after signing in and becoming an expert user in learning GroupSync's ins and outs. I was prepared to begin producing wireframes and high-fidelity screens of how each new page of the website will seem using the technology that had the greatest impact.

Iterate

This process started on a whiteboard and quickly turned into different Adobe XD iterations. The idea was speed. Get new ideas out quickly so we can see if they should be explored further. It turned into a magical mess, but it lead to something usable.

Goal

This project was successful since we were able to increase the number of people utilizing our website to find the beneficial data they required. Users appeared to be reading and comprehending information much better than previously when we watched them use our new website.

I gained a lot of knowledge from this experience since, as the design lead, I was willing to take on a variety of new tasks like reading, researching, testing, structuring a project from beginning to end, and making presentations to several stakeholders at various stages of the design process. I'm thrilled that I had the opportunity to collaborate with such incredible team members on such a wonderful project.
